“For my students to think independently about cognitive and developmental psychology theory, I promote inclusion and understanding of the experiences of traditionally disenfranchised communities. My students explore their curiosity with classroom debates on current events in psychology, highlighting the diversity of opinions their identities bring to my classroom. I create a dynamic learning environment by integrating popular cultural programming to increase class engagement, foster critical thinking, and self-regulated learning.”
